Heidi Dike Kingston

LCSW, C-CATODSW, CGCS

Senior Staff Therapist

Heidi is an experienced Social Worker and outreach professional with 20 years of experience in the mental health and substance use disorder fields.

She believes that relationships and recovery are probably the two most meaningful words in her vocabulary. She promotes the philosophy that when a client feels connected, comfortable in their own skin and in their place in the world, life is at its best. In her practice, she helps individuals work to restore their connection with self and repair the relationships related to the impact of trauma and addiction.

She states that while many of us grew up in family systems that were less than nurturing, and have struggled to evolve into who we were truly meant to be as adults, it is through working together that clients can find the empowerment to become who they want to be.

She has studied extensively with Pia Mellody under the model of Post-Induction Therapy since 2004, honing the skills necessary to address trauma, codependency, love addiction and developmental immaturity. This groundbreaking work assists people who are either in recovery, have relationship issues or who just want to enhance the quality of their lives.

Additionally, Heidi trained extensively with both Claudia Black, PhD and the late John Bradshaw, MA. Heidi’s approach to therapy is largely eclectic and weaves together trauma, attachment, psychodynamic, cognitive, and family systems models.
