Samar Tehrani is an addictionologist who has dedicated her career to helping those suffering from the disease of Substance and Alcohol Use Disorder (SUD/AUD). In her 20 years of experience in the field of human services, she has taught, counseled, and advocated in the area of mental health related to SUD.
Samar’s career extends from victim advocacy, working in the juvenile justice system, teaching and counseling, and program development. Her work has provided her with the opportunity to work with people from all walks of life, a journey she feels has been her blessing.
Samar strongly believes that “eradication of addiction is not legalization, treatment, or adjudication… eradication of addiction is prevention through awareness by means of education.”
