Steffanie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Vermont and a Master of Arts in Education and Human Development with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from George Washington University. Steffanie has worked with adolescents and adults in a university mental health facility, outpatient substance abuse clinics, and a residential substance abuse facility. As a Nationally Certified Counselor, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and member of the American Counseling Association, she is dedicated to delivering premier care to her clients.
Her passion is helping those who battle with different emotional difficulties and many of life’s daily struggles. She has counseled clients through the experiences of grief and loss, family and marital discord, stress, anger, depression, mood disorders, trauma, and anxiety. Her approach has been to work together with her clients to develop treatment plans that improve healing, self-efficacy, motivation, and success while learning how substance abuse has become a self-destructive coping strategy.
